Photo's at Pleasant Perk this month

So, I've finally put a blog together. Actually, thanks to Dr. C, I had one going months ago, but didn't really do anything with it. I decided last night/this morning to get it going again and let everyone know whats happening. All this month, my photography(including "A Beautiful Woman"-more about that below), will be on display at Pleasant Perk coffee house. Stop by and check it out, the Perk is right across from Everybody's Records, on Ridge and Montgomery. It's a really cool spot, good coffee, big comfy chairs, very laid back.
More info here: Pleasant Perk
And by the way, the owner is Kim Taylor, a fabulous local musician that you should check out.

I'm really excited to finally get a month to exhibit some art in my "hood". The photos on display are a collection of abstracts, people/street photography and a couple random subjects like a 70's typewriter and chair.

Also, on display is "A Beautiful Woman" . This is a collection of photos that features a bearded man and a pink board, a sort of "day in the life of a fictional Pleasant Ridge couple". This piece is a play on abstraction of 2-d and 3-d images. The idea began with Neil Hutchinson and Buick Wildcat, then slowly evolved through our design collaboration,(go S6!) culminating with what is now at the Perk. I don't want to spoil it for you, so go check it out. We had a really fun experience making it happen.
I guess that's about all for now, hopefully I'll be keeping up with this blog now and you can check back regularly. Not exactly sure what will be here, probably just space to post some photographs, and maybe some music and food talk. Heard the new Hot Chip?
